How to Build a New Email Template for Communication?

Modified on Fri, 17 Mar 2023 at 10:54 AM

Communication is vital for engagement in employee wellness programs. Email notifications are one of the best ways to promptly communicate all the information to the employees. Program administrators can create customized email templates from the admin portal and send them to the employees with all the needed information regarding the upcoming wellness challenges, events, and other activities.

Building the Email Template

Wellness360 uses advanced and reliable BEE Email Builder for marketing automation and engagement in wellness programs.

Broadly, the configurator has 3 sections to customize the email template.

  • Content
  • Rows
  • Settings

Content Dialog

While custom-creating a new email template or editing an already created template, a list of categories to browse or a complex configurator to build an advanced conditional statement called Content Dialog will be available.

Content Dialog allows for building the right user experience. Administrators have to drag the required dialog boxes into the template to insert the specific placeholders.

  • Image - Drag the image placeholder to insert dynamic images into the email template. Set the alignment, image URL, alternate text, and block padding.

  • Button - to place a call-to-action Button. Drag the button placeholder to the required section. Rename the button tab, add a URL to the CTA button, and set the button width, font family, size, alignment, line height, spacing, padding, and more.

  • Divider - to add a divider placeholder in between sections. Configure the transparency of the divider, line size, color, width, alignment, and block padding.

  • Social - to add social media links to the respective icons. Add the social placeholder and choose from the various social media icons. Add the URL across each icon. Set the spacing and block padding.

  • Dynamic Content - to display the Dynamic content tile in the contents panel. Choose from the available dynamic content types.

  • Icons - configure icons in the email template. Choose the font family, font size, text color, alignment, letter spacing, icon size, and padding.

  • Text - to insert text into the email template. Configure the content text properties including font style, size, color, alignment, bullets, numbering, special links, merge tags, link color, block padding, and more.

  • Click on 'Save' at the top left to save all the changes.

Rows

Rows can be added to the email template to give it a more organized look and customize the design as per choice.

  • The email builder offers different designs of rows. Administrators can select the Row design of choice and drag it to place in the section of choice.

  • After the row block is placed, the content file can be dropped in the row block.

  • Set up row properties for dynamic content, including row background color, content area properties, padding, and borders.

  • Click on 'Save' at the top left to save all the changes.

Settings

General settings to build the email template can be configured from the “Settings” option.

General options that can be set in this section are –

  • Content area width
  • Content area alignment
  • Background color
  • Content area background color
  • Default font
  • Link color
