Team Challenges foster collaboration, motivation, and friendly competition by combining individual contributions into a unified team score. This article focuses on how leaderboards calculate and display results across all challenge modes.

Leaderboard Basics
To keep things balanced and encourage engagement, leaderboards use a fair and consistent approach:
All logged activity for the selected metric is pooled together.
The combined total is shared equally among all team members, regardless of individual participation.
Calculation Across Challenge Modes
1. Fitness Streak (Default)
Metrics: Steps, Active Minutes, Distance, or Calories.
Daily Targets: Members aim to meet a goal each day (for example, a step count goal).
Display Approach: The total of all logged daily activity is equally allocated to every team member, ensuring balanced recognition of effort - even if not everyone is participating .
Example: If 2 out of 4 members are logging steps, their combined total will be split among all 4 team members to keep things balanced and encourage engagement.
2. Target Mode
Cumulative Goal: A single overall target for the challenge period (for example, a combined step goal).
Display Approach: As participants contribute toward the total target, their combined efforts are evenly shared among all members for leaderboard display.
3. Stick to Habit Mode
Setup: A question with a preferred answer (for example, confirming completion of a daily habit).
Goal: A specified completion rate over the challenge (for example, achieving the habit on the majority of days).
Display Approach: The total number of positive habit confirmations is spread equally across all team members to reflect collective adherence.
4. Miscellaneous Mode
Custom Metrics: Examples include percentage weight loss, water intake, or other measurable goals.
Display Approach: Whatever the custom metric, the sum of all participants’ results is divided equally to produce each member’s leaderboard value.
Handling Inactive Members
Inclusive Division: Team members who do not log activity are still part of the sharing process, maintaining consistency across the team.
